Three Ingredients for Success.

There are three ingredients for success.

Desire – Decision – Action.

Desire

There are two reasons for us to take action

1.We have to. - We are made to act by our parent, teacher, boss, partner. Because we feel guilty forced to because of what others will think. These are obviously not the best of motives and do not contribute to a happy fulfilled life. We feel dis empowered and used. We do not have the satisfying feeling of being in control of our own life.

2.We want to. - Desire. When we desire something we act with joy, feel empowered and look forward to reaping the rewards.

Have a clear desire. It is vitally important that we have a clear vision of what we want to achieve in our health wealth and well being. There is a line in the Bible that says "Without a clear vision the people perish." The same applies to our success in any venture. If we do not have a clear desire we will wander around aimlessly and not achieve anything. It is worth spending some time selecting a your goal writing it down and reviewing it regularly. This cannot be over stressed. If we throw a dart at a dart board with a blindfold on we will probably hit the wall, it will be a stroke of luck if we hit the bull. That is like expecting to win on the lottery. A 1 in 14 million chance.

Decision

No action is taken without there being a emotional and clear decision. A decision from which there is no turning back, bridges burned and all that. Some people might even experience it as enlightening experience almost spiritual in nature. A decision to turn your life around. To reinvent yourself.

Take that decision now, a quality decision to change your life. A time of recession can be a great tine of opportunity for those willing to take it. It just takes a change to the way we think. Such a decision always leads to action.

Action.

It goes without saying that if no action is takes then nothing changes. “If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got”

Create a plan.

We must take action. Action requires a plan. Self motivation is probably the hardest part of any endeavour. But it is very clear that if we do not act then nothing will be achieved. In a normal day job we go to work, the boss gives us our tasks, we do them, we think nothing of it, that is our job. At the end of the month we collect our pay. Why do we find it so hard when we are working for our selves? Set a time scale for each task that needs to be completed then reward yourself for doing a good days work.

Take some time to think about what you really want, what you really desire and make a decision that you will go all out to achieve it.
